Such a cute place for an AMAZING burger!!
They have many burger options as well as BYOB (build your own burger)
We came around 7:00pm & it was slightly empty. The servers were kind & fast in preparing our food!
They also have a bar area & TV's if you ever want a beer, burger, & watch some games!
Now for the food:
Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar (no bacon, but w/ mushrooms) & sourdough bread 8/10: the meat was beautifully cooked medium rare, it was a bit very greasy overall, but was very tasty!
Personally I enjoyed the sourdough bread MORE because it was nice & toasty

I've been going to The Counter for many years. I'm so glad this location is still here because the other two locations near us, shut down. The service is always nice & friendly.
This is one of the better meals that I've ever had here. I typically order a custom burger but this day, I didn't want to make any decisions. My boyfriend & I both ordered Patty Melts. I ordered mine medium and he ordered his well done (I know, I know). As you can see from my photo, it came out a perfect medium, which I have a hard time getting elsewhere. Also pictured are the Parmesan Fries, which are highly addictive and highly recommend.

Exceptional service. Thanks to Tristan's recommendation the food was exactly what I wanted. Miguel was attentive as a server, and I had confidence that my food was handled properly. The staff in the kitchen wasted no time getting our orders to us quickly. Juliet made sure that our drinks were refilled, and I believe Jason behind the bar didn't make anyone wait on their drinks either. Overall an enjoyable experience, 10/10 recommend, will be coming back
Service was excellent, Alicia was kind prompt and smiling! I had the grilled Mahi Mahi salad. It was great, mixture of ingredients that married well. Definitely eating here again! Highly recommend!

Teo WHAT a great person, he was SO attentive, and funny and patient,
I cannot say enough good things about him other than he should be promoted and I wish more servers were like him across the board at
all restaurants. I went with my son who also thought he really stood out as exceptional. Good job Teo T and thank you again.
Just left Hart House a few hours ago. These two do not even compare! The Counter never disappoints!
Build your own burger what else can I say? Great beers on tap and outdoor seating. Never too crowded and good lunch crowds.
